Animation Principles

When it comes to animation principles, the walk cycle is the foundation into animating and character rigging. I created this project with the purpose to create both a character and scenery. Although it may seem easy, making a walk cycle takes a long time and can become very confusing. Walk cycles are a crucial asset to add to your motion bag, it requires rigging up all the joints of your character and following a strict pattern of key poses to make it both consistent and smooth. Even when you follow the process you must make conscious decisions on how to make it better, for example slowing things down, or speeding them up, easing and so on.
